Many swimming centres across Adelaide are accessible for those living with disabilities. Recreationally, many pools are equipped with assistance aids for getting in and out of the water, so we recommend getting in touch with your local pool or recreation centre to find out if they might be suitable for you.

Rapid Swim provides swimming lessons for all ages, designed specifically for people with an integration difficulty with a high level of support. Lessons are tailored to the goals of the individual. The program will increase water confidence and teach about water safety and awareness, whilst also developing and refining swimming strokes. The lessons are conducted by Austswim qualified instructors, who can work at an instructor to student ratio of 1:1 or 2:1.

This program will encourage and support people with disabilities and get them involved in competitive swimming. It has a strong focus on developing efficient techniques, the program aims to maximise the abilities of the swimmers.

Our mission is to provide swimmers with intellectual or physical impairments access to specialised coaching and the opportunity to compete whilst being supported in a positive and inclusive environment.

Inclusive Swim are specialists in Water Safety, with an extensive background working with Individuals on the Autism Spectrum (AS). We offer specialised one-on-one services in a calm environment. These services are offered to all individuals, which can be tailored to specific needs. Inclusive Swim focuses on water safety, drowning prevention, water therapy, and general swimming skills for a variety of situations.

With a strong community focus, Inclusive Swim works closely with community groups to deliver programs which include:
  • Survival Swimming Programs
  • Water Safety Programs
  • Holiday Programs
  • Sensory Friendly Swimming Event
Swimming classes are offered to all ages, ranging from babies, children, and adults. All instructors are fully qualified and are understanding that every individual has different needs and requires various levels of support. They are also recognised by Autism SA as an Autism Friendly provider.

Lessons will be personalised to the needs of individuals to ensure that our lessons are not only instructional but also fun and engaging.
